Coba:
There is no question that Coba is one of the most important establishments in the Yucatan Peninsula only comparable with Chichen Itza; Coba lies its domains in over 70 kilometers and possesses a 45-white-path network that connected the many commercial and ceremonial centers of those times; among its main monuments we can find: The Pyramid of Nohoch Mul; The Church,The Mayan Ball Game, Murals with Paintings and its several lakes: Coba Macanxoc, Sacalpuc, Yaxlaguna, Xcanh.
Tulum:
The only Mayan Walled City overlooking the Caribbean Sea; Tulum is the Mayan word for Wall, this city had great influence in the Mayan Culture due to its commercial activities that developed because of its strategic location for sea and ground transportation of goods at that time (1020 to 1521 BC), vestiges have been found of items from cultures settled in North-Mexico and Central America such as ceramic, copper articles, jade, and obsidian among others. Tulum was also an important ceremonial center as it has monuments dedicated to the Mayan Gods such as the Temple of the Descending God, The Castle, The Initiated Ones Temple and also paintings and masks of Chaac God-the God of Rain.
