Puebla City is the 4th largest Metropolis in the country and on the world heritage site found in Mexico. City of Angels, home of wealthy Spanish families and powerful institutions at where artists found the means to create great religious, residential and public buildings that excelled the fine arts in colonial time Mexico.
You will find the Chappel of the Rosary, a real wonder of Spanish baroque. Our tour guide will lead a walking sight-seeing tour pointing out the University Main Building, the Talavera,, fine ceramics, small factories, the Zocalo and the Barrio Artista. After this we will have a lunch break.
25 Km away from Puebla City we will find Cholula, Pretty small city full with churches and built on the ruins of an ancient powerful religious and commercial indigenous civilization.
Cholula retains three ruins of the very largest pyramid ever build in Mesoamerica, temple to Quetzalcoatl and home of many generations of Indian societies till destructions by Spaniards in the XVI century.
In this country we will be glad showing you an amazing little church, Santa Maria Tonantzintla, incredible indigenous Christian decoration that depicts heaven with multi-color stuccoes vaults and thousand of images that celebrate faith.
