This package offers outdoor fun and a chance to get to know some of the leading attractions of the countryside that surrounds Monterrey.
Itinerary:
1) Pick-up at hotel for transportation to park.
2) Visit to La Estanzuela Park.
Noted for the peace and beauty of its hiking trails, the park boasts a two-mile walkway through a forest of pines and live oaks. The creek that runs through the park is surrounded by a picture-postcard forest of majestic poplars.
3) Horsetail Falls (Cola de Caballo) Park.
The falls are formed by water that descends from the Sierra Madre. As the water takes an 80-feet drop, it forms a smooth curve, reminiscent of a horse’s tail – hence the name. The park is part of the Cumbres de Monterrey National Park. You can walk, go on horseback, or take a horse-drawn buggy ride.
4) Bungee and Canopy at the Cola de Caballo Hotel.
The Cola de Caballo Bungee is located within the hotel of the same name. The jump is one of the biggest in Mexico and affords some of the finest views in the region.
5) Visit to "La Boca" Dam.
This place is loved by the locals. A wide range of aquatic activities is on offer and restaurants.
6) Villa de Santiago Tour.
Santiago is the name in Spanish of the Apostle James given to this picturesque village, including points of interest that include a lookout post, the church, the main plaza and handicraft shops and stalls. The tour includes time to have lunch on regional specialties in one of the local restaurants..
7) Visit to “Los Cavazos”.
Famous for its craftwork, including handmade wooden and wrought-iron furniture, paper maché figures, plant pots and jugs, rodeo and horse-riding equipment, and regional sweets.
